Becoming a CERT Member

 Klamath County CERT welcomes volunteers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Individuals wishing to join Klamath County CERT are encouraged to follow the steps listed below.

Step 1

  Complete and sign the Klamath County Volunteer Application. Scan and email the completed form to Ron Miller or Morgan Lindsay. If a scanner is not available to you, you can print the form and deliver it to the Klamath County Emergency Management Office at 2543 Shasta Way, Klamath Falls, Oregon. Please note, this application includes a background release and that all portions of the form must be complete to be considered.

Step 2

  Complete the IS-317: Introduction to Community Emergency Response Teams Course available through FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute. Upon successful completion of this course, email a copy of the course completion certificate to Ron Miller.

Step 3

  Register for the next available CERT Basic Training Course offered in Klamath County. Contact Ron Miller for more information on the next CERT Basic Training Course offered in your area.
